The Blackjack is perhaps the most famous casino game in the whole of the world, and in the online casinos, but even though it is so diffused, its origin is still doubtful.  

According to many it was born in Europe as the twenty-one game, for then to land in America in the times of the old West and it was transformed into the modern Blackjack; but there is also who sustains instead that the game was born in Cuba and not in the old Europe.  

The charm of Blackjack resides in its simplicity, wins who makes 21 or it who draws most near as possible to that score without obviously overcoming it, otherwise the player " unpacks" and automatically loses.   

The score is very simple to be calculated, the numbered cards maintain their value, the figures (king, Queen and jack) are worth10 and the ace is worth 1 or 11 points the choice  is up to the player).  

The bank, in the figure of the "croupier” has to follow to 2 rules during the game, if the cards in his possession have an equal or inferior value to 16, he has to call another card, or, if the value is equal or superior to 17 he has to stay; these rules make the game of the bank more predictable for the players and it helps them in to choose their strategies.  

We now see the rules of the game   

The winning hand in the game is the Blackjack, an ace and a card with 10 points (if 21 points is gotten with more cards, for example 6+7+8 they are simply called 21, and it is inferior to the Blackjack, but it is also a good score), having a blackjack the player is almost sure to win; in the worse hypothesis, that is in case the bank also has a blackjack, the hand will be ended as a draw.  

The player, if receives with the first distribution 2 equal cards (two kings, two 10, etc) he can make a “SPLIT" that is to divide the 2 cards and to contemporarily play 2 hands;  
In case of two Aces the thing is allowed but the player can only call an additional card.  

If instead with the first 2 cards he attains between 9 and 11 points, he can ask a doubling of the bet, but in this case he can only ask for another additional card.  

If in case the bank serves himself before a card with an ace, the players can ask an "Insurance", or to bet a sum, equal up to half of the initial bet, on the possibility of the bank to make a Blackjack; in case of a Blackjack from the bank the bet is paid 2:1, otherwise the bet of the player is lost.  

The higher differences that can be found in the game in the various casinos are in the number of the packs of cards used (in Europe usually 6, in Las Vegas it depends on the casino but  they also only use up to  2 packs);  
On the possibility of splitting the cards (up to a maximum of 3 times, excluded the aces that can be only once separated).   

Another remarkable difference between the European game and that American game is that in Europe normally the cards are uncovered (2 for every player and 1 for the croupier) instead in Las Vegas you can be find some casinos where the cards of the players are covered.  

There are different winning game strategies, the more used are based on the probability of the out coming of a card in relationship to the card in the hands of the player, or on the calculation of the cards gone out up to that moment (the second is clearly a winning strategy, but that only few can adopt it for obvious difficulty motives).
