Exchange poker: rules
Rules of the Exchange Poker of Betfair
At the beginning of every hand, each of the four players receives two covered cards (called 'pocket cards'). The remaining five constitute the open common cards that will then be laid on the centre of the table.
The first round of bets happens with covered cards (The deal). The players bet on the hand that they repute winning. It is possible both to bet and that of to bank in every hand.
Every round of bets has a specific duration before the bets are annulled the bets not combined and the next revealed cards.
At the end of the first round of bets, the cards of every player are contemporarily uncovered and the bets not combined are annulled.
There is a further round of bets (according to the round) and it is again possible to bet and to bank on every player during the hand. (Pre Flop). We dissuade to bet before seeing the flop, although the fees to the pre-flop are interesting.
At the end of the second round of bets the first three common cards are uncovered (also called ‘flop’).
And here therefore begins the third round of bets.
At the end of the third round of bets sees the annulment of the bets not combined before the fourth common card is revealed (also call 'turn').
Now begins the fourth round of bets.
The fourth round of bets again finishes with the annulment of the bets not combined before the scene and last common card is revealed (also called 'river').
The result of a match is decreed by the best hand, in turn determined by a classification of combinations. The rule “Dead Heat” will be applied in cases of an absolute draw. A hand can be formed in three different ways, using respectively:
-The two cards in possession of the player (cards 'pocket 'o 'hole') and three among those uncovered (common cards)
-A pocket card (or 'hole') and four choices among the common cards.
-All the five common cards
The scores are the same as the ones of the Texas normal Hold’em (in decreasing order):
Royal Flush: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, of the same suit.
Straight Colour: Five cards of the same colour in sequential order.
Poker: Four cards of the same rank ('quads').
Full: The combination of three cards of the same rank (three of a kind) and two cards of another rank (pair). In the case of more combinations of Full in competition among them, the Three of a kind of higher value ('trips') is awarded the hand.
Flush: Five cards of the same suit not in sequential order. The highest card is decisive in the eventuality of the competing combinations of colour.
Straight: Five cards in sequential order but of different suits. The ace can be used as a high card (after the King in an increasing order: 10, J, Q, K, A.) or the lowest card (before Two always in increasing order: A, 2, 3, 4, 5). the straight with the highest card will be awarded the victory in the eventuality of other competing straights.
Three of a kind: Three cards of the same numerical value or suits ("trips")
Two Pair, A hand consisting of two cards of the same rank, in combination with two other cards of the same rank, the hand that of higher value will be awarded. In case of a draw of the pair of the highest value, it will be the value of the second pair to decree otherwise the winner of the hand and the value of the fifth card ('kicker') to become decisive in case of absolute parity (same two pair)
One Pair: Two cards with the same numerical value or suit. Among two hands with the same pair, wins the highest card among those remaining.
High Card: The hand with the highest card wins.
In the case of two or more hands with cards or combinations of cards of the same value, it will be the value of the remaining cards (at times called 'Kicker') to decree the winning hand. In the eventuality of a further draw, it will be applied the rule ‘Dead Heat'. (or 'Flat separated'
