Specialities of Poker
The principal specialties of poker can be divided in 3 big categories:
1) Community poker card , in this category each player receives a certain number of covered cards known as personal in which the number is established from the rules of the game,; and of a certain number of community cards, also the number of these cards is variable.
The player has to make a point both with his personal cards (the covered and personal cards of each player), and also with the community cards (uncovered cards and available for all the players), also here the number of community or personal cards used is determined by the rules of the game.
The most known variations in the community cards are chowaha, crazy pineapple, Double-board Hold’em, Pineapple, Royal Hold'em, Tahoe Hold'em, Super Hold'em and Tic Tack Toe
2) Draw Poker, in this category there is put all the variations of poker where each player in the first hand is given 4 or 5 covered cards with a relative possibility to make a point.
It normally follows a turn of bets where every player has the possibility to change one or more cards or say served (without changing any cards).
The most known variations in the Draw Poker are: 5 cards draw, Ace to 5 Triple draw, Badugi, California Lowball, Deuce to 7 Triple Draw and Kansas City Lowball.
3) Stud Poker, in this category is put all the variations of poker where you can play with one or more uncovered cards, the cards are given one at a time.
The greater difference between the Draw Poker and the Stud Poker is in the impossibility to change the cards.
The most known variations in the Stud Poker are: 5 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud, Caribbean Stud Poker, Canadian Stud, Razz and Telesina
All the poker games can be played with different variations that notably vary the post in game.
The variations are the followings:
To a fixed limit, in this case the number of the raisings and of the bets are fixed (the raisings are normally 3 at the most , in the case that the game is played with only 2 players this variation is only for the fixing of the bets).
Limit of the Pot, the numbers of raisings are not established but the maximum raising is established, that must not go over the total of the bets put in the various hands and of the pot.
Without limits, in this case the player doesn't have limits in the raisings and on the bets.
Mixed, in this case he passes to hands with limit and to hands without limit to discretion of the players.
High Low Split has the same development of the games to limit, but with the exception of the distribution of the pot.
The Pot is split in half and is divided between the player with the best hand and the player with the worse hand.
